Group Leader - Quality Management

Quality plays an crucial role in all areas of our company. My team has various sectors. The Quality Management department is responsible for documentation and monitoring of procedural regulations, for the annual internal and external audits done for the ISO 9001:2000 certification and setting up and tracking measures for improving processes.
The employees in the Quality Assurance department ensure that hardware products do indeed correspond to specifications and meet safety requirements. They also support and coordinate the turnover process where new hardware is transferred from the development department to production.

The Test Center controls and monitors our software products with regard to quality requirements. The Quality Control department monitors and inspects incoming goods and production. Only those products (software and hardware) that have first passed testing procedures successfully are passed on to logistics for shipping. Another focus is contact with suppliers. We can agree upon measures with the supplier for eliminating and preempting mistakes via a speedy and personal response.

Back when we were setting up the Quality Management department things were not always easy. Especially when existing and functioning processes were modified or totally reworked, this provoked some discussion naturally. This is completely understandable. That's why we place such an emphasis on transparency. This is how we try to communicate internal and external quality requirements to our colleagues. This approach has proven successful.

We are in continuous contact with just about every department in the company. This gives us the envious opportunity for getting to know and appreciating many of our colleagues.
